Accounting Clerk (Payables/Receivables)

  • Types vouchers, invoices, checks, and account statements, reports, and other records.
  • Computes and records charges, refunds, costs of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals and similar items.
  • Updates General Ledger and reconciles accounts.
  • Manipulates financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.
  • Updates all Payable/Receivable reports on computer.
  • Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactiuns.
  • Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts.
  • Batches checks and deposit slips.
  • Posts cash to customer accounts, issue and apply credit memos, and send monthly statements if necessary.
  • Keeps track of collection reports and traces outstanding invoices.
General Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in accounting procedures and automated systems.

Payroll Clerk

  • Compiles payroll data such as hours worked; sales or piecework, taxes, insurance to be withheld, and employee identification number, from time sheets, time cards, and other records.
  • Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer files, or computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records.
  • Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
  • Records changes effecting net wages such as exemptions, garnishments, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records.
  • Prepares quarterly and annual Payroll tax reports for State and Federal Departments.
  • Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments.
  • Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, commissions and overtime.
  • Keeps records of leave pay, and nontaxabie wages.
  • Keeps records of Workman's Compensation for payables, and reports including coding of various classifications of jobs.
General Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately on a 10-key calculator/keypad.
  • Ability to prioritize work and follow instructions.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax procedures and reports.

General Labor

  • Cleans packaging containers.
  • Lines pads and crates and assembles cartons.
  • Obtains and sorts products.
  • Wraps protective material around product.
  • Starts, stops and regulates speed of conveyor if necessary.
  • Inserts or pours products into containers or fills containers from spout or chute.
  • Weighs containers and adjusts quantity.
  • Nails, glues or closes and seals containers.
  • Labels containers, container tags, or products.
  • Sorts bundles of filled containers.
  • Packs special arrangements or selections of products.
  • Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process.
  • Records information such as weight, time, and date packaged.
  • Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
  • Sweeps and keeps designated material area in orderly condition.
  • Disperses material to designated areas from receiving.
  • Packages materials for shipment per company procedures.
  • Verifies that proper items are being kept in right place.
  • Works as a utility labor person responding to inter office requests. (ie. Moving light furniture or file boxes.)
  • General labor as it applies to each company's needs individually and separately from those listed as examples above.
Shipping & Receiving

General duties (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Compares identifying information and counts, weights or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Verifies quantity, quality, labeling and addressing of products and merchandise ready for shipment.
  • Prepares items for shipping using cartons, containers and protective fillers.
  • Seals and affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons. Could use shrink wrap equipment.
  • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
  • Inserts items into containers.
  • Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape.
  • Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
  • Determines methods of shipment.
  • Affixes postage on packages, or gets it prepared for shipper pick-up.
  • Posts weights and shipping charges.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Routes items to departments or storage by hand or uses dolly or hand truck.
  • Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks or shelves by hand.
  • Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shipping or damage in transit.
  • Tracks inventory on computer, if necessary.
Warehouse Worker

General Duties:

  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items an racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
  • Lifts heavy objects (up to 40 pounds) by hand or with power jack.
  • Cleans work area, machines and equipment.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets of shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution.
  • Arranges stock parts on specified sequence for assembly.
  • Uses computer to enter records.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
  • Prepares parcels for mail. Maintains inventory records.
Computer Programmer

  • Designs, codes, modifies, and tests programs assigned.
  • Works directly with users to confirm needs.
  • Assists with installing and training on computer systems.
  • Answers questions and assists users with problems with their computer systems.
  • Produces accurate, efficient, user-friendly computer systems.
  • Evaluates and modifies existing programs to accommodate system changes.
General Qualifications:

  • Four year degree or equivalent in business experience programming.
  • Previous experience in working with end users of programs and equipment in problem solving.

Computer Analyst

General Duties (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Plans, develops, tests and documents computer programs by performing various duties.
  • Evaluates user requests for new or modified computer program to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities.
  • Consults with user to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
  • Reads manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn ways to develop programs that meet user requirements.
  • Formulates plan-outlining steps required to develop program and submits plan to user for approval.
